The Upgrade

Rev-2

Design

Our 25 pound, next-generation aircraft, Rev-2, uses a Quadrotor Biplane Tailsitter (QBiT) configuration. This configuration allows the aircraft to take off and land vertically, then pitch forward 90 degrees and fly like a biplane, optimizing forward flight efficiency.

Technology

Rev-2 is capable of both piloted and autonomous flight using a custom flight mode in Ardupilot. Its innovative revolver-style payload delivery system allows for precise in-air payload drops for next generation firefighting capabilities.

Competition

Despite facing harsh weather conditions, Rev-2 placed sixth at the National DBVF competition, recording a competition leading top speed exceeding 80 mph. Rev-2 was also recognized for the technical complexity of the payload delivery system, and novel configuration.
